Barney Fowler, and family, of Andrews, Tx have been breeding full blood and percentage blood Boer Goats for over 12 years. For 10 years Fowler Livestock has been utilizing embryo transfer and artificial insemination to ensure that a maximum level of progress is attained with each breeding season. By flushing 15-20 does a year on average, Fowler Livestock is able to offer one of the highest quality and most consistent groups of wethers in the country. The main focus of the Fowler Livestock breeding program has been to bridge the gap between the Fullblood and Market Wether industries, raising goats that will become champions in each arena. Fowler Livestock goats achieved success in this goal after winning the Grand Champion honors at the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo in 2003 and then capturing the National Grand Champion Fullblood Buck honors with "Powersource" at the ABGA National Show in 2005. Fowler Livestock wethers have won every major stock show in Texas with a total of nine Grand Champion awards at the majors. With Kendall off to college at Texas A&M University, all of the wethers raised by Fowler Livestock are being offered for sale. It is our goal to raise goats in which our customers can step ahead of the competition on every level, from their own breeding program, to the county fair, the major stock shows, or to the ABGA National Show.
